HotNames.tv and HotNames.mobi are sister sites to one of our existing projects, Free Name Exchange.
The owner of Free Name Exchange (FNE) had us create these two sister sites less than 2 months after the launch of FNE in April 2007. The purpose for these sister sites was to cater to a different audience; the .tv and .mobi crowds, respectively. By cloning the custom software we had already designed for them, we were able to build a new version of FNE that showed only .tv domain names (hotnames.tv) or only .mobi domain names (.mobi). This allowed these particular audiences to find exactly what they wanted with even more sorting and searching flexibility as they didn’t have to sift through thousands of domain names ending in extensions they weren’t interested in (such as .com, .net, etc.). However, all 3 sites are still intra-connected and on the same network. This allows for a centralized back-end admin control panel, one member base, and most importantly, allows users to post their domain names only once and have them show up on all 3 sites. This was only possible because of the incredible flexibility and scalability of RealityDesign custom designed software.
